As part of its 150th anniversary celebration, OFFI Zrt. — Hungary’s national network of translation offices and a state-owned institution — launched a brand-new website aligned with its refreshed visual identity. The two most significant features of the new site are full WCAG 2.1 AA-level accessibility and an integrated online quote calculator. With this tool, users can enter a few key details about their document and instantly receive preliminary information on available translation services, pricing, and turnaround times.
The site also assists clients who prefer in-person service by automatically displaying the nearest customer service office based on the user’s current location — along with estimated visitor traffic, opening hours, contact information, and any relevant real-time updates.
The website is fully available in Hungarian, English, and German, ensuring that all information published on the Hungarian version is equally accessible in the foreign-language versions.
OFFI’s website is the first project we developed using the Drupal 8 CMS framework to comply with Hungary’s legal requirements on public sector digital accessibility (Act LXXV of 2018). As a result, the site fully meets the strict WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards. Thanks to OFFI's design language, we were also able to achieve the required contrast ratio without relying on separate high-contrast toggles.
One of the most important upgrades compared to the previous OFFI website is that users no longer need to study OFFI's pricing policies or submit a formal request to get a quote. Instead, they can simply fill out the online calculator for an instant cost estimate.
