Mateking isn’t filled with dry math theory or confusing algorithms. Our goal with this project is to make mathematics crystal clear — using simple examples, vivid illustrations, and an intuitive, distraction-free online environment. We've created a 21st-century textbook that doesn't just present the math, but truly explains it — in a way that's engaging, detailed, and easy for anyone to understand.
The e-learning platform was built by Macroweb using Drupal CMS and Drupal Commerce. We continue to develop and maintain the site, and also provide full hosting and operational support.
Nothing proves the success of this teaching approach better than our users: over 140,000 students have used Mateking to pass high school exams and university tests. The site has also been recognized multiple times by the “Website of the Year” awards:
- 2015 – in the E-learning category
- 2016 – in the E-learning and Education categories
- 2017 – in the E-learning category
- 2018 – in the E-learning category
- 2019 – not only in the E-learning category, but also as the overall Website of the Year
With this, mateking.hu became the most awarded website in the history of the Website of the Year competition — no other site has won more than three times.
We've also launched the English and German versions of the platform under the mathXplain and matheking brands.
